AT&T to Offer Internet TV
AT&T Inc. has announced that its internet TV service will be available in 15 to 20 markets by the end of the year.
This move comes as AT&T takes on the cable operators with consumer-targeted phone, TV, high-speed internet and wireless service packages.
Unlike its competitor Verizon, AT&T will not use fiber-optic wires to bring TV into people's homes. Instead, it will send the TV signals through the traditional copper wires that phone and internet traffic already use.
