Media Motion: aiMatch, KIT digital, and Traction

The Adconion Media Group has launched the Joost Video Network, a suite of online video advertising services. The Joost Video Network will provide agencies and brand marketers with targeted in-banner and in-stream video ads. Adconion also announced the hiring of Stephan Doliov as vice president of applied analytics, Sue Donahue as a member of the Chicago's sales-based team, Melissa Marra as strategic sales director, and Allyson Pizula as video business development manager.

The launch of aiMatch, a provider of advertising technologies, was announced last Monday. The company was founded by a team of execs that had once worked at Accipiter, which was purchased by Microsoft in 2006. aiMatch is dedicated to providing online publishers with the ability to create defined audiences.

Bazaarvoice has hired Gillian Felix as its new chief people officer. Felix will guide the process of employee training and development. Prior to joining Bazaarvoice, she was senior vice president of human resources and guest experience at Golfsmith.

BIA/Kelsey predicts that local advertising revenue for television and radio will reach $34.3 billion in 2014, almost a $5 million jump from totals in 2009.The five-year forecast for local broadcast media is analyzed in BIA/Kelsey's 2010 U.S. Local Media Annual Forecast (2009-2014), which is available to clients of the firm's new advisory service, Digital Strategies for Broadcasting.

DoubleVerify has hired Chris Little as director of sales for the Western region. Little carries 12 years of experience in digital advertising and sales management. Under his new position, he will be responsible for generating sales and customer growth.

Evolve Media announced the addition of four names to its brand. They include Gorilla Nation, a brand ad sales company, AtomicOnline, a publisher of media properties, Springboard Productions, an entertainment video solution, and Double Helix, an interactive marketing firm.

Robert Pietsch and Meredith Levien will assume new and additional roles at Forbes Media. As SVP, Group Publisher/ Forbes Media, Levien will oversee print strategy for Forbes Magazine, ForbesLife and ForbesWoman.  Pietsch, who retains his position as chief digital advertising officer, will now lead the product sales strategy as well as newly developed accountability tools on Forbes.com.

Fuze Box announced the launch of Tweetshare, an application that helps users build Twitter fan pages. Aside from the usual methods of user-engagement, Tweetshare can also incorporate images and HD video. 

JanRain Inc. announced that Gary Griffiths will sit on the company's board of directors. Griffiths is currently co-founder and CEO of Chattertrap, an information discovery service. He also had stints at WebEx, Everdream, and IBM.

KIT digital Inc., a provider of software solutions, has agreed to acquire Multicast Media Technologies Inc. Multicast specializes in internet video and live event broadcasts.

Mirrorball has been appointed as an agency of record for Heineken's Dos Equis and Amstel Light brands.

WPP agency Schematic has hired Jason Whiting as managing director of its New York office. He will oversee the daily operations and serve as a member of Schematic's senior leadership team.

Panache has introduced Cheryl Kellond as its new executive vice president. Kellond had previously worked as vice president of advertiser product marketing at Yahoo.

Eric Ludwig is joining PeekYou as president and COO. He formerly served at AOL as director of search engine marketing.

ScanScout announced the launch of its monthly Online Video Insights Report. The report offers analysis on video categories, audience segments, and traffic when adjusted for time.

John Lambertus joins Peer39 as vice president of data, optimization, and analytics. Formerly employed by X Plus One Solutions Inc., Lambertus brings 15 years of experience in analytics and audience targeting.

Traction was named the second-best interactive agency of 2009 by BtoB Magazine. The agency's expanding pool of clients was cited as a reason for the selection. Intel, Intuit, Salesforce.com, and Symantec were brought in as clients last year.

TRAFFIQ has forged a new partnership with the Transworld Advertising Agency Network, meaning it has now teamed up with three of the four major ad agency groups (the other two being Havas Digital and Worldwide Partners). Under the partnership, TAAN members will use TRAFFIQ as their digital media platform of choice.

After leaving WorkflowOne to join Boundless Network in 2008, Thomas Rizzi returns to serve as the new vice president of promotional products. He will be reporting to Robert Abbonizio, senior vice president of customer solutions. Rizzi was previously vice president of strategic sales for WorkflowOne

Zemoga has appointed Andres Navarro as managing director of their Bogota office in Colombia. Navarros worked with clients such as L'Oreal, GM, Exxon, and Microsoft during a previous stint with IPG Mediabrands.
