Kendall's Bio
As an independent adviser to agencies, publishers and brands, Kendall Allen runs most of her media and marketing pursuits through a company she established, Influence Collective, LLC, based in New York City. Clients include ´mktg´ where she recently completed an interim project as SVP, driving Digital Marketing Services exploration for the company as it determined the scope of its Digital build-out. And now, in a pure consulting capacity, she advises on select client and business development initiatives. She does this from within Influence Collective – along with other integrated marketing, media and publishing projects. The majority of her advisory work is currently for Carolyn & Co. Media, where she supports founder Carolyn Kepcher, former Trump Organization EVP directing an array of digital publishing ventures for women.
Allen´s 16-year path to the present led from print to digital media, from publisher to agency-side. She first spent a few years covering emergent media and technology in the SF Bay Area. Moving from print to the interactive realm during its most formative years, Allen helped found Thrive, an AOL/Time Inc. joint online venture, ultimately leading consumer marketing and distribution for the company, after assisting to establish all of the original content and community infrastructure.
She has held top posts at USWeb/CKS and Euro RSCG Circle, where she served as VP Strategic Services and General Manager for the West and its practices in digital technology, marketing and design. Allen´s most recent post before assisting the management team at ‘mktg´ was as Managing Director for NYC based Incognito Digital, LLC. Here, she spent two years building out the agency from its nascent state, expanding the client base and establishing a voice in the market place and within the competitive set.
Her personal client history includes Ask Jeeves, Chandon, Intel, Intuit, VOOM, American Express, Fairmont, Colgate-Palmolive, Bloomberg, Haier America, OKI, Fox, FX, and Coty Inc.
Given her roots and her path, Kendall is a highly regarded thought leader and contributor within media and marketing circles. To note, she was on the founding floor of Search Marketing, as an original executive at Fathom Online, for whom she moved to New York from San Francisco to establish the east coast business – and then regional Director of Client Services for iCrossing. She contributes heavily to media industry thought leadership, as frequent and highly regarded speaker on the Incisive, Search Engine Strategies circuit; regular editorial and programming contributor to Media Post and iMedia; and periodic NYU guest lecturer and educational contributor in online forums. She also sits on the Producers Guild of America, New Media Council; the Association of Downloadable Media, Ad Council; and the Ad Club of New York Digital Marketing and Media Council. And she serves on the Board of Directors for 212NYC, where she oversees the Professional Development programming series.
