Scott's Bio

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer Scott Ferber, recognizing the tremendous opportunity at the intersection of marketing, analytics and technology, co-founded Advertising.com in 1998 with his brother John. Since that time, Scott has led the company to its current position as a leading provider of performance-based marketing for interactive advertisers and publishers. Advertising.com is a leading provider of online marketing services. We deliver Internet advertising campaigns for advertisers who pay us only if we provide the results they specify, such as customer purchases or leads. We deliver these campaigns through advertising space, such as banner ads, that we purchase from websites and other online publishers. Using our proprietary AdLearn yield management and optimization technology, we automatically match advertisements to our inventory of advertising space in a manner designed to maximize the revenues produced by this inventory.
Our advertiser clients are companies marketing goods or services over the Internet. The publishers from whom we buy advertising space are websites, search engines, and email companies, such as Excite, Dictionary.com, and Overture.     As chief executive officer, Scott is responsible for the company's performance, strategic vision, and the continued development of Advertising.com's proprietary ad placement optimization technology.

Scott started his career in manufacturing with Procter & Gamble before moving into information-based marketing for Capital One Financial Corporation. While at Capital One, Scott built businesses outside of the credit card industry leveraging the company's proprietary approaches to information management. Scott received his BS (with highest distinction) in engineering from the University of Virginia and his MS in engineering from Stanford University.
