Karen has spent over 20 years at the leading edge of digital media, technology and marketing. Karen is currently Chief Marketing Officer of ShopAdvisor, the shopping experience company closing the gap between media and retail.  In her role as CMO she is responsible for all consumer and business to business strategy and marketing programs.

Prior to joining ShopAdvisor, Karen was a successful entrepreneur, having founded Fulgent Media Group, a full service media agency which she scaled and sold to Alloy Media and Marketing in 2008. Fulgent was recognized as one of the 50 Fastest Growing Woman-Owned Companies in the US by Entrepreneur Magazine.

Prior to founding Fulgent, Karen was the first director of marketing at Monster.com. During her tenure Karen established the marketing department and ran all advertising and public relations activities for the site globally.

Karen started her digital career in 1993, joining the Ziff-Davis Interactive marketing team where she helped to launch one of the first internet publishing platforms, and then remained with the company through two acquisitions (AT&T and Nets Inc.) assuming various product, business development and marketing roles.
