Malcolm's Bio
Malcolm Bird is an entertainment industry executive who has spent 27 years working for some of the world´s biggest entertainment companies. International Creative License (ICL) focuses on the development of media in the digital world, content creation and monetization.
Most recently, as CEO of TM Entertainment, Mr. Bird bought a Chinese media company called China Media Express (CCME) through a special purpose acquisition corporation (SPAC) for $173MM. CCME sells advertising on long distance city to city buses in China, reaching over 60 million people a month. Prior to that, Mr. Bird served as Senior Vice President of Kids and Teens at AOL from December 2002 through March 2007 where he originated and managed this highly successful franchise for 3 million 2- to 12-year-olds and 5 million 13- to17-year-olds. In that role, he was responsible for strategy, development, sales, staffing, business development, marketing, and PR for AOL´s Kids and Teens areas, a business which was independently valued at $150MM. Before joining AOL, Mr. Bird was Head of International Programming for Hanna-Barbera and an Executive Producer at Nickelodeon. Mr. Bird played major roles in the launch of three television networks, Nickelodeon UK, TeleMontecarlo Italy and USA Broadcasting. He has been awarded two Emmys and has been nominated for a third. He has also won three Telly Awards. Malcolm Bird sits on the executive board of directors of the National Children´s Museum in Washington, D.C.
