For more than a decade Jason Harty has managed interactive, mobile and field marketing campaigns for several F100 brands, including Verizon Wireless, Subway Restaurants and NBC Universal.  Recently, his case studies and experiences have been referenced in the book, Listen First! Turning Social Media Conversations into Business Advantages, by Stephen D. Rappaport (2011).

While at vitaminwater®, Harty oversaw the brand’s product innovation and interactive marketing initiatives as Brand Manager.  His efforts in social media specifically grew the vitaminwater Facebook fan base to over 1.1 million in less than a year (Feb. 2009 – Oct. 2009).  This helped the brand earn a Top 10 spot on Big Money’s list of “Brands that Best Engage Fans on Facebook” (Dec. 2009) and the #13 spot on Forbes list of “Best Social Media Campaigns Ever” for the vitaminwater Flavorcreator campaign (July 2010).

Currently, Harty is the Director of Interactive & Field Marketing at Snack Factory’s Pretzel Crisps® brand.  In this role, Harty intersects his Field Marketing, Brand Management and Interactive background to help build awareness and nurture brand affinity, while recruiting new consumers from around the country.  By the way, you can find Pretzel Crisps in the deli section of your local grocery store.
