John Federman is an online media and e-commerce executive with more than 25 years of experience driving revenue and profit through innovative mediate platforms designed to connect buyers and sellers. He is currently on his 6th CEO position at Dailybreak, holding an incredible track record for turning start-ups and re-starts into multimillion dollar companies. John also has 12 years of traditional publishing background as the Publisher of PC Week, which was the largest trade publication in the world.

Previous CEO experience includes:

  • CEO of Searchandise Commerce, creators of paid search for retail sites (sold to RichRelevance)
  • CEO of eStara, creators of the Click to Call technology powering the majority of the Internet Retailer 500 (ATG and then to Oracle)
  • CEO Of Dotomi, which introduced retargeting with personalized media to the marketplace (sold to ValueClick for $295M)
  • CEO of Newmediary, an online RFP/White paper Network (sold to CNet)
  • CEO of AdSmart, the 3rd largest online advertising network, scaling it to a $437M acquisition

 

John has spoken at numerous conferences including ad:tech, Kelsey Group Conference, eTail, Net.Finance, and is a regular contributor to print and online publications.

He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Art.
