Gregg Freishtat is a technology executive with nearly 20 years of experience leading innovative and transformative companies. He founded three start-ups, all of which had successful exits. Deeply rooted in venture capital and management, he has led several companies through acquisition and has had a hand in developing disruptive technologies in convergence of telecom/internet, personal finance/online banking, web based analytics and now digital media/online publishing.
Freishtat founded Vertical Acuity in 2008, after serving as SVP of internet strategy for Premiere Technologies (NYSE: PGI). Previously, he served as chairman and CEO of VerticalOne Corporation, the first provider of web-based account aggregation services, and remained in that role after the company was sold to S1 (NASDQ: SONE) in 1999.
From 1994 to 1996, Freishtat founded and served as CEO of Telet, Inc., which developed the first generation of unified messaging and voice-over IP products. Telet, Inc. was sold to PTEK in 1996.
Freishtat is an active private equity investor and has served on many private company boards, including at Proficent Systems, Vertical One, Telet, Marketworks, Relevant Knowledge, OutWeb, S1 and USA.net. He has also served on the board of Camp Kudzu, the Jewish Federation, JDRF and Galloway School.
