Robert's Bio

Rob Stravitz is responsible for all consumer marketing activities related to Valvoline’s Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) business.  VIOC owns and operates 271 company stores and franchises an additional 654.  It is the second largest quick lube chain in the U.S.

Mr. Stravitz joined Valvoline in 2005, as Vice President, Marketing, for Valvoline’s DIFM (Do-It-For-Me) Distributor Sales Group. In May 2006, he was named Vice President, Marketing, for the DIY business. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing consumer insights, new products and marketing programs and advertising  to reestablish growth for the DIY businesses in lubricants, appearance and automotive chemicals.

 

A native of Garden City, N.Y., Stravitz earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. in 1985 and a master’s degree in business administration from UCLA’s Anderson School in 1991. Prior to joining Ashland, he held senior marketing management positions with Clorox, Intuit, and Del Monte Foods.
