Jacqueline is a journalist, editor, manager and content marketing specialist currently working as editor in chief at Conversionplanet, a digital content publisher that creates special online sections in partnership with the world’s leading newspapers, including USA Today, Chicago Tribune and NY Daily News. Jacqueline helped launch the company in April 2012, overseeing the editorial, tech and design teams; partner relationships; and working closely with clients to ensure the execution of successful, high quality campaigns.
Prior to that, Jacqueline was global head of production at Mediaplanet, Conversionplanet’s parent company—the leading producer of niche content in partnership with print publications around the world. In this role, Jacqueline was overseeing the production team for 25+ offices in North America and Europe, working to elevate editorial quality with a focus on securing impressive sources, including Academy Award-winning actors , Olympic gold medalists, legendary musicians, well-known politicians and TV personalities. Newspaper partners included New York Times Magazine, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, National Post, Toronto Star and many more.
Jacqueline also created and launched Mediaplanet’s social media strategy, facilitating the launch of Facebook and Twitter pages around the world and successfully reaching a global network of 10,000 fans.
Prior to this promotion, she worked as editorial manager for North America and successfully rolled out a new report design, oversaw sales concept trainings, built a network of freelance journalists and implemented editorial processes while lowering production costs by 50%.
She has also worked in marketing at Lord Abbett, and as an assistant publicist at Penguin where she worked closely with authors, including George Saunders, wrote press releases, pitched stories, planned book events and many more. Her freelance journalist experience includes a plethora of articles for trade publications, university magazines and catalog work.
Jacqueline is also an avid reader and writer (perpetually working on the next great American novel, of course), and a lover of movies, music and travel. You can follow her on Twitter at Jackmcd37, but be warned—she doesn’t always remember to Tweet.
