Jay Friedman is the COO of Goodway Group, an 83-year-old marketing services company that owns and operates a Custom Audience Platform to identify and market to the right users at the right time online.
In 2006, Jay joined Goodway Group when he created and launched Goodway 2.0 to provide online and emerging digital media services primarily to agencies representing the political, automotive, restaurant, and home-builder markets. Goodway 2.0 quickly became a success—a sought-after digital media source to agencies representing presidential and senatorial candidates, advocacy groups, and automotive associations within nearly all of the world's largest auto manufacturers. In 2007, when Goodway 2.0 was integrated into Goodway Group, Jay took on the role of COO to continue to round out the company’s extensive digital services offerings.
Jay began his career at Young & Rubicam (Y&R), a top ten global marketing firm. While at Y&R, he managed the day-to-day operations of the $20MM Dallas, Texas, field office and led the Dallas office to achieve and maintain the highest client-driven ratings of any field office within the system. He also successfully helmed Y&R’s national effort to consolidate regional direct-to-consumer marketing programs to reduce time to market and cost per program and did so without sacrificing the full creative flexibility clients had come to expect when achieving their individual marketing objectives.
Jay is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with degrees in journalism and Spanish. He lives with his wife and two children in Plano, Texas.
