Jim Nichols is VP for agency, international, and corporate marketing for Conversant, Inc. Nichols has been in the advertising business for far longer than he cares to admit, though he has loved every bloody second of it. His experience spans agency (DDB, Y&R, Carat, Real Branding, ROI DNA, Bayer Bess Vanderwarker), brand side (Sega, Leaf/Hershey), market research (Nielsen/SPINS), and now media solutions with Conversant.

Some of the brands Nichols has helped develop include ABC Daytime, Bank One, Betty Crocker, Cablevision, Cap'n Crunch, Clorox, Darden Restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster), Hyundai, Kodak, Microsoft, Ofoto, Oracle, Pfizer, RadioShack, Sega, Showtime, SOAPnet, Suave, Virtual Makeover, and Wachovia. He is a prolific writer for digital trades, including iMedia Connection, Inside Radio, VentureBeat, ad:tech, ShellyPalmer.com, Jack Myers, and many consumer publications.

He holds a B.A. in U.S. History from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago.
