Matt Doherty joined John Hadl and Brand In Hand as Associate Media Director in April 2010 to build out the media team and support Procter & Gamble’s growing activity in mobile. Brand In Hand is a full-service, end-to-end mobile media and marketing company that serves global brand marketers and assists emerging media companies. In his role as AMD for P&G’s exclusive mobile agency of record, Matt manages the strategy, planning and buying for over 15 P&G brands currently executing mobile. He works closely with a long list of P&G brand managers and leading mobile vendors to ensure the effective activation of each brand’s communication strategy within the mobile media channel. More recently, Matt has been focused on helping P&G, and other Brand In Hand clients within the CPG category, develop their approach to mobile CRM and shopper marketing.
 
Matt holds a B.S. in Business Management and Marketing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
 
Before Brand In Hand, Matt had been working in digital media with a particular focus on mobile at Carat in Boston. As an early advocate for mobile at Carat, he won the opportunity to run the mobile business for Marriott and in 2008 he helped them become one of the first hotel chains to launch a mobile booking engine. He also ran several successful mobile campaigns for Nokia, Reebok and RadioShack out of the Boston office and quickly became the go-to “mobile expert” in consulting for a number of Carat offices across the US.
