John Hadl is a partner at US Venture Partners, a 30 year old Silicon Valley venture capital firm. Over the last 10 years, Hadl has been an angel investor, board member, adviser or consultant to numerous mobile, digital advertising and e-commerce companies: Admob (acquired by Google), Quattro Wireless (acquired by Apple), Neven Vision (acquired by Google), Millennial Media (IPO 2012); Snap Tell (acquired by Amazon), Savings.com (acquired by Cox), Place IQ, Tubular Labs, Wedge Buster, BlueKai, Swoop, Total Beauty Media, FreeMonee, SessionM and JumpTap. Hadl splits his time between USVP and FRWD Media Services, a Minnesota-based media services agency. He joined FRWD as part of FRWD's acquisition of Brand in Hand, an agency Hadl founded. Brand in Hand handled more than 600 mobile campaigns and its clients included Procter and Gamble, Best Buy, American Express, Coca Cola, General Mills, Lions Gate Studios and others. In April 2007, BrandWeek dubbed Hadl as one of the "Marketers of the Next Generation," the publication's highest honor, and in July 2007, Advertising Age acknowledged Hadl as one of its distinguished "40 Under 40" executives.
Hadl began his career as a corporate lawyer in New York City at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and holds a J.D. from the New York University School of Law.
