A trusted advisor to companies of all sizes and a respected voice within the interactive media industry, Dr. Brad Berens has enjoyed a wide-ranging career that features storytelling as an organizing theme. These days, he divides his time among research and trendspotting at the USC Annenberg Center for the Digital Future, strategic consulting at Big Digital Idea, mentoring of start-ups, including at the Portland Incubator Experiment and the Nike+ Accelerator, and public speaking.
Earlier, Berens enjoyed a long tenure as the global chief content officer for dmg events' digital portfolio, including iMedia, did editorial and marketing work at EarthLink, and spent several years as a Hollywood story analyst at companies like DreamWorks, New Regency, CAA, and Mirage. He started his career as an award-winning teacher of Shakespeare and writing at UC Berkeley, and wants everybody who loves science fiction to go buy and read his first novel, "Redcrosse."
