Beverly Jackson joined the MGM Resorts International family as the first VP of social media and content strategy. She is currently championing the positioning of MGMRI as an engaging and leading brand through storytelling across multiple media platforms and networks by setting the strategy and driving the production of compelling content. Jackson has 15 years of experience building brands across the media, entertainment, and technology industries. Most recently, she served as head of social marketing for Yahoo, Inc., where she provided leadership on social media integration, marketing strategy and crisis communications, and technology trends to grow the Yahoo brand.
Prior to her work with Yahoo, Jackson spent five years as a senior director of marketing, strategic digital alliances & social media for the Recording Academy/GRAMMY Awards. There, she was responsible for developing and leading an award-winning social media program for the iconic television broadcast. In 2012, under Jackson's leadership, the 54th GRAMMY Awards broadcast set a record for social TV engagement and was declared the "most social event in history."
Jackson received her Master of Business Administration degree from Baruch College at The City University of New York, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Consumer Education from Howard University.
