This session looks at how marketers should handle the next frontier in social media marketing.
Almost everyone is part of a social network these days. In fact, most people belong to two or three social networks. While the proliferation of the social web has been a tremendous value to many people, the exponential growth of this space has led to a phenomenon known as network fatigue, or more simply put, too many profiles!
Listen to our panelists as they explore an important new concept on the social web: data portability. They will take an in-depth look at how new open standards will provide consumers with the ability to take their identity with them wherever they go on the web. They will also look at how major players in the interactive space (i.e. Google) have adopted open standards, creating a social network out of the web at large.
Armed with new open standards and privacy tools, consumers will have more control over their online experiences and media consumption habits than ever before. In light of this shift in the way consumers interact online, marketers will once again be faced with challenges similar to those they faced at the onset of the era commonly known as Web 2.0.
How are marketers going to cope with this next phase in social media? How ready are you for this shift? This session will help you make sense of this next phase in social marketing.
