Agency Shoot-Out! “Renault’s Laguna Coupe”

See the winning presentation here.

iMedia and Jumpstart are proud to conclude this year's Driving Interactive Summit with an Agency Shoot-Out in which two interactive shops – Publicis Modem and Moxie Interactive – pitch their hearts out for 15 minutes each to win a piece of fictional business.

The RFP may be fictional, but the buyers are real. We’re grateful to our automotive brand judges for joining us onstage during the Shoot-Out. Think of them as our own "American Idol"-style panel. (We’ll leave it to you to figure out who is Paula and who is Simon!)

In addition to the sheer glory of winning, iMedia Connection will publish an article about today’s top pitch.

The Advertising Story: After 10 years of being in the U.S., Renault’s Laguna Coupe needs a well-built marketing strategy to reduce its 150-day supply by half. The company cannot afford to lose market share or damage the brand’s reputation by promoting additional incentives. Renault invested heavily in its U.S. launch and has limited budget to spend. Agencies are required to provide two budget levels: $750,000 and $900,000.

The winning proposal must include creative strategy, media plan, mock-up creative, details on the team that will be working on the account as well as its expertise, competitor analysis, a complete measurement plan, and all other important details to complete a fully fleshed-out marketing plan.

The proposal cannot include tactics that require changes to the manufacturing process.

The Brand Story: The Laguna Coupe is known for its fluid, elegant design. Matched by its high levels of performance and equipment, the New Laguna Coupe writes a new page in the history of exceptional coupes.

Apart from the V6 power plants, gas engines include the 2.0 Turbo, delivering 205 horsepower that translates to more than four hundred horsepower per liter. When it comes to diesel, the 150, the 180, and the V6 235 horsepower dCi engines have an excellent performance-to-consumption ratio. High torque levels are ably demonstrated in a muscular pick-up from a standing start.

Buyers can choose between 6-speed, manual, and adaptive gearbox transmissions.

Join us for this exciting session!
