Take data as an example. It is the common thread that runs through all of our paid, earned and owned digital media exposure. GroupM in the US alone generates 50 billion advertising impressions a month and that is just the advertising. This exposure results in waves of additional data, which ultimately add terabytes more every day. Data is a blessing and a curse. The data provides gold consumer insights, but the sheer volume of information from diverse sources in countless formats is staggering.
