Gian Fulgoni is chairman and co-founder of comScore Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR). Founded in 1999, comScore employs 1,100 people and provides services to more than 2,300 clients worldwide, encompassing syndicated and custom solutions in the measurement of online audiences, ecommerce, advertising, search, video, mobile, and TV viewing. The company also offers an extensive portfolio of digital services for web analytics, cross-platform media planning and analysis, campaign delivery validation, and advertising effectiveness measurement.
From 1981 to 1998, Fulgoni was president/CEO of Information Resources, Inc. (IRI), the global supplier of retail POS scanner information and analytics to the CPG industry, where he grew the company from a start-up to one with annual revenues of more than $500 million and a market value of $1.4 billion. In 1996, Advertising Age magazine named IRI the largest U.S. market research company.
In 1991 and again in 2004, Fulgoni was named Illinois Entrepreneur of the Year, the only person to have twice received this honor. In 2008, Fulgoni was inducted into the Chicago Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame and named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. In 2014, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the U.S. Advertising Research Foundation.
Fulgoni is a popular speaker at conferences worldwide and has appeared frequently on CNN, NBC News, ABC News, CBS News, CNBC, FOX Business News, Bloomberg TV, and the PBS "Nightly Business Report."
Educated in the U.K., Fulgoni holds a B.Sc. degree in physics and an M.A. in marketing. In 2012, he was awarded an honorary fellowship by the University of Glamorgan in Wales in recognition of his entrepreneurial skills and achievements in market research.
