Richard leads Yahoo!'s media sales organization for financial services. He is responsible for strategy, industry insights and thought leadership, as well as working with Yahoo!'s product teams. He has 19 years sales & marketing experience, 17 of those years in media sales. He has been in online media sales and development since 1995. He has lead global media sales teams of up to 180 and has extensive international experience. He has been involved in the start-up of numerous products including WSJ.com, Personal Journal, SmartMoney, and two Forbes.com B2B and lifestyle content areas. He is a board member of the Financial Communications Society, and has been nominated to the operating committee of the Direct Marketing Association’s Financial Services Committee. Recently named one of Yahoo!'s Big Thinkers, Richard has been quoted in dozens of titles including The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, American Banker, Ad Age, BrandWeek and AdWeek, and has had articles published in American Banker and the Journal of Financial Advertising and Marketing. He has given dozens of speeches at industry events including Forrester, and recently lobbied both the House and Senate regarding online privacy legislation.
