Mick O’Brien has been a pioneer and thought leader in the Australian digital media landscape since 1997, where he was one of the first to launch third party ad serving across Asia.

Launching Datorama in 2013 and opening offices in Australia, Singapore and Japan, Mick is leading the charge to help marketers remove themselves from manual data wrangling to automated insights using artificial intelligence.

Mick is a new media entrepreneur with a proven track record in being able to identify market-leading technologies whilst building the right strategic relationships with advertisers, agencies, publishers and technology vendors spanning the Asia Pacific (APAC) Region. Mick launched the eyeblaster business in 2002 and established a number offices and partnerships throughout South East Asia, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India.


In 2009 Mick was promoted to the role of VP Sales & Client Services North America, MediaMind Inc. and grew annual revenue 35% to $30m – Mick played a key role in MediaMind’s successful listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange (MDMD) and subsequent sale to DG (DGIT) for $414m.
