Brian Cooley is CNET's senior commentator, known for his high energy style and ability to break down technical topics into compelling stories.  A former radio morning man, he has been a favorite regular guest on CNN, CNBC, CBS News, ABC News, MSNBC, and a long list of major market TV and radio stations. Affable and informed, he covers just about every topic area on CNET, with a special passion for TV, video and automotive technology.  He does video reviews 100 of the latest high tech cars each year and video coverage of the major world auto shows.  He's also known to millions of people from the TV screens at Costco, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club and other big box retailers where he explains new trends in consumer electronics in CNET's "Tips for Digital Living" series. His many years covering all aspects of technology allow him to connect the dots on stories, integrating the perspectives of consumers, innovators and the capital markets.  Part of his special touch with technology comes from being born and raised in Silicon Valley and working entry level jobs in the tech industry during college summers.  Technology and how people use it is not new fashion for him, it's part of a long arc of progress in the way people get things done. Brian joined CNET in 1995, after 12 years doing morning radio in L.A. and San Francisco.  He immediately launched CNET Radio Online, which expanded to a 24/7 channel on XM Radio and the nation's first two all-tech format radio stations in San Francisco and Boston.
