Amanda Norvell brings eight years of marketing and public relations experience to her current post as senior director of marketing for Golf Channel's new media division, where she is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies.
Currently, Norvell spearheads the positioning and messaging strategy, as well as the development and execution, of marketing programs that drive demand while maximizing revenue for several brands and products, including GolfNow, GolfNow Rewards, GolfNow mobile app, Golf Channel Amateur Tour, Last Minute Golfer, TeeTimes.com, Deal Caddy, and others. In addition, she is also responsible for partnering with the new media sales, product, and technology teams to plan the launch of new products and releases, as well as the implementation and execution of corresponding marketing plans in order to drive trial, adoption, and usage.
Previously, Norvell was the director of emerging marketing, where she was responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies for fast-moving digital channels, such as social media and mobile. Prior to joining the team at Golf Channel, Norvell was the social media manager at Universal Orlando Resort, developing strategy and content for both award-winning theme parks, and she held roles at True Marketing, GCI Group, the Pilot Pen ATP/WTA Tennis Tournament, and the NBA's Orlando Magic.
She is a graduate of Anderson University, where she studied Marketing and Public Relations.
