After five years in television news, Aimee began selling interactive advertising in 1993. She spent two years at U S West CityKey, helping launch and sell a first-ever interactive in-hotel room ad platform, successfully capturing 4% of a $4m visitor market in nine months. In 1994, Aimee moved to retail marketing, serving as Global Marketing Director for CyberMind. She developed and implemented sales, marketing and merchandising programs for 10 domestic and international virtual reality retail locations, including development of local target market programs to increase center visibility and profitability. Aimee’s biggest accomplishment included serving as Executive Producer of the world’s first ever virtual reality wedding. She project managed all aspects of the production, including software development, hardware integration and press relations. The event garnered over 70 national/international media placements and 80m press impressions. As an independent consultant, Aimee researched and co-authored a white paper in 1995 on new media and online marketing paradigms for what became GM Media Works. From 1996 – 1998, Aimee worked in Partnership Management, Sales and Advertising at Pacific Bell Interactive Media, helping build structure & pricing models for new ad products and ventures. As sales lead, she generated over 80% of all advertising revenue for the CA-based web site launch of @hand. Aimee joined online market research pioneer @plan in 1998, serving as VP, Sales & Development and opened the west coast sales office. She was a key revenue contributor to the S1 public filing and was promoted to SVP when the company went public in 1999. Interested in exploring entrepreneurism, Aimee joined a six person startup called WishClick in 1999. While there, she hired, grew and managed a team of national sales and BD leads and successfully closed $10m in VC funding.
