With over 12 years of Digital experience ranging from developing backend CRM solutions through to front end delivery systems and digital marketing apertures. Throughout his career he has evangelised connecting technology solutions back to clients business needs to deliver a competitive advantage for them in a volatile marketplace. Rene joined Leo Burnett’s from Y&R Brands, Sydney Australia where he was the Head of Digital Strategy for Wunderman & GPY&R. He was also one of the founding members and eCommerce Director of 360 in Sydney, responsible for the establishment of 360's digital service and unique integration model. Rene was able to bring a wealth of talent and experience working on large, complex clients and moving clients from a traditional approach to new media by delivering effective strategies that drive results. He most recently developed the online retail strategy for Commonwealth Bank's interactive offering and their online banking application NetBank. Prior to 360 Rene worked as an Interactive Strategist for Tribal DDB and as a Content Strategist for NineMSN. Before re-locating to Australia he was a founding partner for a Canadian Telco Reseller responsible for their communications and marketing portfolio. Rene holds a Bachelors degree in Communication from the Faculty of Applied Science at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver British Columbia where he specialized in digital interactive media and culture, technology and society, and communication policy. He also holds a Diploma in Marketing Management as well as a Diploma in Business Management & Industrial Relations from South Fraser University, British Columbia.
