Frans Mahieu is global marketing director for Kimberly- Clark Corporation, a company with global brands such as Kleenex, Huggies, Kotex, Scott, Cottonelle, Viva, Poise, and Depend. Mahieu manages Kimberly-Clark's global employer brand and is responsible for the global branding and communications of its people strategy to its 42,000 employees and the marketing of K-C's recruiting brand externally. Prior to these roles, Mahieu headed up global marketing and communications for Kimberly-Clark's health care business unit.

Before joining Kimberly-Clark, Mahieu spent 17 years with Novartis as a global marketing and North America marketing director. He also spent three years in Switzerland overseeing the European marketing. Prior to that, he was a brand manager at Ralston Purina and an account executive at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising.

Mahieu earned an MBA in marketing from the University of Georgia, in the city of Athens (home of REM, the B-52s, and Widespread Panic), and earned a BBA in international business from Nijenrode University, The Netherlands School of Business. Mahieu has been a speaker at conferences such as the Conference Board's Corporate Image & Branding Conference, Fuse Brand Identity and Packaging Design Conference, and the Human Resource Shared Service Institute. Mahieu sits on the advisory board of the Autrey Mill Nature Preserve & Heritage Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

 

Mahieu is originally from The Netherlands and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He loves running, soccer, and hiking the Rockies, the Swiss Alps, and the North Georgia Mountains. He also likes to chill on his porch with a nice craft beer while listening to indie rock.
