Dave is the CEO and Co-founder of Avado. Avado is a Patient Relationship Management platform that empowers the healthcare parternship between individuals and their health & wellness providers while giving the individual a Connected Health Record. The key insight for Avado is that healthcare works best and costs least. 

Prior to co-founding Avado, Dave spent several years working in a variety of startups in acting executive, founder or consulting roles including market-leading companies such as LiveRez.com, MarketLeader, iMedia Communications and WhatCounts.

Prior to working in startups, Dave spent 12 years at Microsoft in senior marketing and general management roles, including his role as Global Healthcare Industry Director and Managing Director for Industry Marketing & Relations for the Digital Media industry. He both founded industry organizations and served on their board that played pivotal roles in the growth of those industries.

Dave played leadership roles in launching several new businesses within Microsoft including Microsoft’s entry into the enterprise software business which is now a multi-billion dollar business. He founded Microsoft's Healthcare business guiding Microsoft from no industry presence to a market leading position. His work was recognized as one of the top two things Bill Gates identified in 1995 and was named Marketer of the Year. The 700 person strong healthcare business now represents well over half a billion in revenue for Microsoft. 

In the aftermath of the dotcom bust, he was selected to take a leadership role within the online ad industry to grow online’s share of the overall ad market. He worked in concert with senior executives from AOL, Yahoo!, DoubleClick/Google and other market leaders. During his tenure, Microsoft championed three major initiatives that the industry adopted that led to the dramatic turnaround of the online ad industry. 

Prior to joining MSFT, Dave was a senior consultant with Accenture's Healthcare Practice working with more than two dozen healthcare providers and systems. Dave has also been a successful investor and adviser to early-stage companies.

Dave's entrepreneurial roots go back to building up a lawn mowing business in junior high to helping pay his way through college leading ski trips to Whistler.
