John leads the Marchex Institute, our analytics and insights team which publishes findings on advertising campaign performance, consumer data and market trends. John oversees all whitepapers and analyses and is a key strategic advisor to our clients.
Before joining Marchex in 2003, John held a variety of product and program management roles at InfoSpace and at Go2net. He served as our Vice President of Product Engineering before heading up the Institute in 2011.
To John, data is powerful because it reveals insights that can transform a business. “Data, when analyzed properly, reflects granular truths about advertising performance,” he says. “It tells a valuable story.”
In addition to authoring several whitepapers and reports, John is an active speaker in the industry and writes national guest columns in Mobile Marketer and MediaPost about data-driven advertising. He holds a B.A. from Northwestern University.
