Shawn works at Electronic Arts, the leading video game maker. EA delivers great interactive entertainment including Madden Football, FIFA Soccer, Tiger Woods Golf, Battlefield, Need for Speed, Dead Space, Mass Effect, Medal of Honor, and The Sims. Shawn is Vice President of Advertising and Media driving the global advertising strategy and creative development across 20 franchises. With several agency partners, his team creates the online, print, broadcast and viral work that has helped EA to create more million unit, block-buster game titles than any other 3rd party publisher.
After graduating from Hamilton College with a degree in Economics and Computer Science, Shawn began his career as a programmer but quickly moved to the creative side of marketing. After several years at various marketing and advertising agencies including Digitas and Foote, Cone and Belding, Shawn moved to Intel, a small chip company in Silicon Valley. He established the interactive advertising group for the company, becoming a leader in the burgeoning industry of digital marketing – back when people actually said World Wide Web and it took 3 days to download a 1mb video. During his tenure at Intel, he ran the global web site team consisting of 60+ people and 100,000 pages of tech tips and product specs. His last position at Intel was as Worldwide Advertising Director where he managed global advertising for 2 years and oversaw the successful launch of the Centrino brand.
