Brian Krick directs the search engine marketing (SEM) practice for the Philadelphia office of Avenue A | Razorfish, one of the world´s largest interactive agencies. He is responsible for developing clients´ search marketing strategies, and managing the day-to-day operations of his team of search strategists, managers, and coordinators, to make sure they are delivering the best possible solutions for clients.A proponent of what some call “big S Search”, Brian works closely with the agency´s search engine optimization (SEO) and site-side analytics practices to close the knowledge gap between the paid and organic sides of search results. He believes that the growing adoption of the “on-demand” model for all forms of content will continue to underscore the importance of search as a primary means of user navigation and an increasingly important part of any client´s marketing mix. Prior to running the search team in Philadelphia, Brian held the position of associate media director. In this role, Brian dealt directly with clients and managed internal processes to ensure that the agency was constantly delivering cost-efficient web media plans validated by analytics. Since joining Avenue A | Razorfish in July 2000, he has been directly responsible for more than $100 million in digital media, search, and email advertising billings. Brian caught the interactive bug at McCann – Erickson Los Angeles in the late 90s, where he was involved with inductive forays into online media on behalf of Sony/Columbia/Tri-Star films.His contributions to the digital marketing industry were recognized by OMMA Magazine and Medical Marketing and Media, both of which selected him for their "people to watch" picks in 2006. He is involved in various professional associations, including SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Association).
